A leading African business publication has awarded G4S Zambia its highest possible accolade in recognition of outstanding work.

For the fourth year running, PMR.africa presented the business with an Arrow Award for enhancing quality and excellence in the security industry.

And with an overall score of 4.5 out of 5, G4S achieved the prestigious Diamond level of the award for the first time.

The awards are judged by an independent panel that looks at contribution to economic growth and development, management expertise and the implementation of good corporate governance.

'We are very proud of this award and believe that it is a testament of our leadership in the security industry,' said Steven Barry, G4S Zambia Managing Director.

'A combination of our local knowledge, expertise and continuous focus excellence in customer service delivery has been the key in establishing our leading position in the market.'

Customers keen to praise the business included the British Council, whose spokesperson said: 'The security manager and guards deployed at this site are well-trained and proactive.'


Meanwhile, a spokesman for Hifi Corporation said: ''I would recommend G4S as a security solutions provider of choice because of its professionalism in dealing with clients and its continuing efforts to innovate ways of providing Cash in Transit services.'
