July 29, 2013 - Authorized by FIVB and organized by Macau Sport Development Board and Volleyball Association of Macao, China, the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix™ Macau 2013 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group ("GEG") will take place between
2 and 4 August at the Macau Forum. Wang Yimei and Zhang Lei have been re-selected by Macau Sports Press Association and Hong Kong Sports Press Association to compete for "My Favorite Galaxy Star Player" award from the latest player list of the China Team for the Macau leg.
GEG continues to organize "My Favorite Galaxy Star Player" award for the fifth consecutive year, offering spectators the opportunities to vote for their favorite players. Not only will the player with the highest votes be greatly rewarded, but the voters will also automatically enter into a lucky draw to win fabulous prizes.
The eight original nominees were Hui Ruoqi and Zeng Chunlei from China, Daymara Lescay Cajigal and Rosanna Giel Ramos from Cuba, Maret Grothues and Manon Flier from the Netherlands, as well as Lora Kitipova and Elitsa Vasileva from Bulgaria. However, after a series of intense competitions in the National Games of the People's Republic of China, head coach of the China Team Lang Ping has adjusted the player list for the Macau tournament so that some of the players can stay in Beijing to restore their body energy. Therefore, Wang Yimei and Zhang Lei have been re-selected for the voting, while the nominees from the other three teams remain unchanged.
With tremendous support from volleyball fans across the country, "Big Hammer" Wang Yimei, the first ever "My Favorite Galaxy Star Player", is truly eligible to be nominated for the award again. Another nominee Zhang Lei has been named the team captain in the tournament of Macau leg this year with superior performance.

During the tournament, ballot boxes will be placed at the entrance of Macau Forum for spectators to cast their votes. The player with the highest number of votes will not only take home "My Favorite Galaxy Star Player" award, but she will also be entitled to fabulous prizes sponsored by GEG with a total value of up to MOP20,000, including a two-night stay at Sky Villa of Banyan Tree Macau with Royal Banyan spa and complimentary dining experience. In addition, one of her lucky voters will win great prizes including a one-night stay at Galaxy Hotel™ and food & beverage coupons valued at MOP1,500.
