Galenica is a pharmaceutical group organized around 4 areas of activities:
- supply of logistical services (42.6% of sales): for pharmaceutical companies, retail sales companies, physicians, and hospitals;
- sale of pharmaceutical products (33%): OTC medications, prescription drugs, phytopharmaceutical or parapharmaceutical products used in treating anemia and nephrology;
- pharmacy management (23.5%): at the end of 2012, was operating 300 pharmacies (Amavita and Sun Store names);
- health information management (0.9%): supply of global on-line management solutions for pharmacies and doctors' offices, and development of security systems for communicating and distributing sensitive data.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: Switzerland (81.6%), Europe (12.2%), America (4.1%) and other (2.1%).
