Sites from Galliford Try and Galliford Try Partnerships were among the winners in this year's Ivor Goodsite Hoarding competition.

The annual contest, organised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme, sees sites across the country decorated with themed artwork produced in partnership with local schools and charities. The 12 winning entries were chosen from a record entry with the judges impressed by the quality and range of themes used across the schemes.

At the St Dunstan's site in Woking, Galliford Try worked with local charity LinkAble which supports young people and adults with learning disabilities. The theme was entitled 'Site Safety is a no brainer' and the artists' efforts were given a special viewing by the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Will Forster.

Meanwhile at Galliford Try Partnerships' Stoke Gifford ExtraCare site near Bristol, the children from Frampton Cotterell C of E Primary school decorated the hoardings with artwork focusing on the city and, in particular, the spectacular annual balloon fiesta.

Celebrating the achievements, Galliford Try Chief Executive Peter Truscott commented: 'One of the most important aspects of being involved in the construction industry is the engagement we have with young people and Ivor Goodsite competition is a great opportunity to do just that. We are proud to have two wonderful winners at St Dunstan's and Stoke Gifford, and congratulate the young people and the site teams on their fantastic efforts.'
