Galliford Try claims 28 winners at CCS National awards

Galliford Try's businesses have received recognition at the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards with 28 winners in the gold, silver and bronze categories, following the conclusion of the prize giving last week.

The awards are for the highest-scoring sites which participate in the CCS accreditation process, which assesses sites for the contribution they have made towards improving the image of construction. The scheme looks at the measures a site has put in place to be more considerate towards local neighbourhoods and the public, the workforce, and the environment.

In total, Galliford Try received seven golds including awards for Morrison Construction's Anderson High School in Shetland, which claimed the highest score in our business, Infrastructure's Smart Motorways team and the A611 access site in Hucknall; Building's East Street and St Vincent's Walk sites in Southampton and the Anchorage House and Croydon University Hospital sites in London.

In addition, there were a further 10 silver awards, including ones for Galliford Try Partnerships's sites at Tile Hill and Arden Quarter and 11 bronzes.

Gold winners: Smart Motorways; Anderson High School; East Street; St Vincent's Walk; Anchorage House; A611 access site; Croydon University Hospital.

Silver winners: University of Stirling - INTO Academic centre; Kirn Primary School; Tornagrain Pump Away scheme; Middlesbrough Street Lighting; Hull biomass plant; Tile Hill Dementia Care (GTP); Arden Quarter (GTP); Forbury Place; 50/60 Station Road and RNAS Yeovilton.

Bronze winners: Hambrook House; Godiva Place; Our City, Our River (GBV); Hughenden Gardens (GTP); Greenfaulds High School; Redcliff Quarter; Southampton New Arts Centre; Ditton Park Academy; Wingfield Primary School; Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
