GOLDEN VALLEY, MN--(Marketwired - Feb 6, 2014) - KARE 11 is thrilled to announce the opening of the LIVE on TV ice rink as the NBC affiliate prepares for 16 days of action packed and awe inspiring Olympic events broadcast from the region of Sochi, Russia. 

Tonight, Thursday, February 6th KARE 11 News will begin broadcasts LIVE from the locally made rink built next to the KARE 11 Backyard and Studio in Golden Valley. KARE 11 will host community groups to partake in the spirit and fun of the Games during the news broadcast each evening.
