Gartner Analysts to Discuss How to Use and Secure Cloud, Mobile and Data at the Catalyst Conference 2014, June 17-18, London, U.K.

Gartner, Inc. today announced the launch of a Catalyst Conference in Europe. The event will be held from June 17 to 18 in London, U.K.

In October 2013, Gartner conducted an end-user survey amongst 328 business and IT managers in Europe*, which found that securing information in public clouds, protecting mobile information, and managing risks in public clouds were the top three issues for respondents.

"Catalyst exists to help European IT professionals build the architecture necessary to securely host apps and data on cloud and mobile platforms, successfully adopt public cloud services, manage hybrid private/public clouds, and also learn how to enhance the user experience and increase productivity on mobile devices," said Drue Reeves, vice president and Gartner Fellow.

Furthermore, in the digital industrial era organizations are looking for practical answers and guidance around how to use cloud, mobile and analytics to become a "digital business." "Organizations that don't invest in this new architecture will quickly find themselves at a competitive disadvantage," said Mr. Reeves. "The enabling technologies of the digital economy (cloud, mobile, security, and big data) reduce the barriers to market entry and change the competitive landscape. The greatest competition may come from a small startup."

The conference will focus around four tracks:

1-            Embracing Mobility for Worker Productivity and Business Operations

2-            Cloud Computing: Foundation for Digital Business

3-            Big Data and Analytics: Delivering Real Competitive Advantage

4-            Architecting Information Security and Privacy for Mobile, Cloud and Big Data

The latest solutions and tools will be demonstrated by the more than 10 companies exhibiting at the conference. A listing of current exhibitors is available on the Exhibitor Directory at http://www.gartner.com/technology/summits/emea/catalyst/exhibitor-directory.jsp.
