• The company has over 61,800 supply points in Toledo with a distribution network of over 1,400 kilometres.

Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha, the distribution subsidiary of GAS NATURAL FENOSA in the region, plans to invest approximately €27 million in 2015 to expand its natural gas networks and reach new municipalities and users. This is 7% more than the almost €25 million invested in 2014. The company has allocated close to €250 million in the last 10 years to develop infrastructure in strategic parts of the region.

In 2015, the company expects to build around 130 new kilometres in the network and start supplying in seven towns: Borox, Cobisa, El Viso de San Juan and Ugena (Toledo); Bolaños de Calatrava and Membrilla (Ciudad Real); and Tarazona de la Mancha (Albacete).

These are some of the main figures cited today by the new Managing Director of Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha, Miguel Martín, during the presentation of the business results for 2014 and the main lines of action for 2015.

GAS NATURAL FENOSA's distribution subsidiary has the support of the regional and local authorities to extend its distribution network and offer service to new companies and households, as extending natural gas is a significant part of the Gas Supply Plan designed and developed by the regional government.

More than 13,000 new supply points in 2014

Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha invested around €25 million last year to continue with its gas-infrastructure expansion and development plan in strategic areas in the region.

The distributor incorporated more than 13,000 new supply points last year, adding five towns to the gas map: Brihuega and Yunquera de Henares (Guadalajara), Polán and Los Yébenes (Toledo), and San Clemente (Cuenca). Therefore, at year end, it had more than 229,200 supply points in the region, meaning that 59% of the population of Castilla-La Mancha has access to this energy.

The company, which in 2014 celebrated 25 years offering gas in the autonomous region, operates in 69 towns in the area thanks to a distribution network of around 3,600 kilometres, of which over 180 kilometres were built last year.

Implementing natural gas makes the region's economy more dynamic, as the company creates more than 70 direct jobs and almost 7,200 indirect jobs, essentially with installation and marketing companies.
