This recital stems from a partnership agreement maintained by the power company with the Pablo Sarasate Foundation since 2001.

Through its natural gas distributor in the region, Gas Navarra, GAS NATURAL FENOSA was the sponsor for yesterday's recital, the the 14th in a series of concerts by the Symphony Orchestra of Navarre (OSN) performed at the Conference Centre and Auditorium of Navarre (Baluarte).

In the first part of the concert, the orchestra - conducted by Víctor Pablo Pérez - played Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 in D Major. In the second part, María Bayo, a Navarrese soprano of recognised international standing, performed a selection of Chants d'Auvergne by the French musicologist and composer, Joseph Canteloube, a collection of songs still performed in the region of Auvergne in a dialect unique to that part of the world.

Gas Natural Fenosa maintains a commitment to development that goes beyond its business activities and specifically involves extensive sponsorship work on initiatives of significant value to society. To that end, the company has maintained a partnership agreement with the Pablo Saraste Foundation since 2001 in order to contribute to the development of musical culture in the society of Navarre.
