The award was presented during an open competition to assess the main distance-based customer service communication channels offered by companies.

GAS NATURAL FENOSA has won the award to Best Customer Service Department of the Year for the third time in the energy supplier category. This award forms part of a competition organised by the Sotto Tempo agency that is open to all companies wishing to assess their level of service.

Cristina Sogas, Head of Relations with Official Bodies of the GAS NATURAL FENOSA Customer Service Guarantee Office, collected the award at a ceremony held at Cibeles Palace in Madrid. GAS NATURAL FENOSA also won this prize in 2011 and 2012.

The Customer Service Department of the Year awards were set up in France in 2007 and held for the first time in Spain five years later. The award is presented following a competition that is open to all companies wishing to assess their level of customer service within their sector. The study to choose the award winners is based on an assessment conducted by a team of assessors who, after carrying out 200 checks on the customer service department of each company, scored the service received by telephone, Internet, e-mail and the social networks.

TNS also sent a satisfaction survey to 2,000 people representative of the Spanish population to assess the opinion of customers and potential customers of the participating companies.

Retail energy commercialisation

GAS NATURAL FENOSA commercialises natural gas and electricity, as well as added-value products related to energy supply, throughout Spain. At present, the multinational company has 8.4 million contracts with domestic customers.
