The campaign features one of the stars of the MasterChef television programme, Jordi Cruz, and highlights the easy installation and savings to be enjoyed when switching to natural gas.

Gas Natural presented its new campaign in Valladolid today, which aims to raise awareness about the savings to be enjoyed when switching to this energy and how easy it is to install.

The presentation was attended by Jordi Cruz, a judge on the MasterChef programme on television and proud owner of two 'Michelin Stars' at his ABaC restaurant, and the Director of Gas Distribution in the North of GAS NATURAL FENOSA, José María Ferri.

The nationwide campaign will begin in early November and will take place in the press and on the radio, television and Internet over the course of five weeks. The award-winning chef will again be the face of a Gas Natural campaign to highlight the easy installation, savings and comfort offered by natural gas when used for central heating, hot water and cooking.

A competitive type of energy

Natural gas plays a significant role in the household economy. The saving for a homeowners' association that switches to natural gas can reach up to 30% of its non-electricity power bill thanks to a simple conversion process that, in some cases, only requires replacing the burner in the boiler.

Furthermore, no special systems are required for bringing the fuel to the boiler and no storage tanks are necessary because natural gas can be supplied on a constant, as-needed basis.

The use of natural gas also helps improve air quality as it substantially reduces nitrous oxides, sulphur oxides and particulate in the air - three of the main agents that affect human health. It also emits less CO2 - the main greenhouse gas - than other fuels.

5.2 million supply points in Spain

Through its gas distribution companies in Spain, GAS NATURAL FENOSA supplies natural gas to almost 1,100 towns and over 5.17 million supply points. The company is also investing 324 million euros in 2014 to maintain its efforts to reach new towns, households and companies.
