• The Energytruck, a large sustainable truck designed by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum, offers a visual and interactive introduction to what energy is and how we can consume it responsibly.
  • It is free to visit, and will be on Paseo del Queiles in Tudela on 26 and 27 December and in Parque Antoniutti in Pamplona from 28 to 30 December.

The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum has designed an exhibition entitled Energytruck, a touring truck that has visited more than 100 municipalities in Spain during 2016 to inform visitors about energy, the environment and industrial heritage in a fun and interactive way through educational activities run by specialist educators. On Monday 26 December the vehicle will be in Navarre, where it will spend a total of five days: two in Tudela and three in Pamplona.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 December on the Paseo del Queiles in Tudela, and will then move to Parque Antoniutti in Pamplona, where it will stay from 28 to 30 December. In both cities it will be open to the public from 9:00 to 19:00, alternating between visits from the general public and pre-arranged visits from schools and social groups.

With this exhibition project, the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation aims to contribute to the educational, environmental and cultural development of society, showing in a very visual and interactive way what energy is and how we can practice responsible energy consumption. It looks back at the past to show the historic changes and social progress that followed the arrival of gas and electricity, and also looks forward to the future, to reveal what energy will be like in years to come.

The truck is equipped with a natural gas twin engine that emits 15% to 20% less CO than conventional diesel engines.

The 70-square-metre mobile exhibition boasts a wide range of technological equipment, including audiovisual, interactive and multimedia content, as well as information panels. Visitors will be able to experiment with the content through practical activities centred around the visitors themselves. The project also includes workshops and educational activities led by specialised educators, who will impart their knowledge of science and technology. The activities, which will are free of charge, are suitable for all ages and adapted for people with disabilities.

The Energytruck is ending its route after having spent several weeks visiting the provinces of A Coruña and Pontevedra, the Autonomous Community of Madrid, Extremadura, Andalusia, Catalonia, Castile-Leon, the Autonomous Community of Valencia, the Basque Country, La Rioja and Castile-La Mancha. Since it was launched in January, the Energytruck touring exhibition has been visited by more than 53,700 people. In all, 20,520 primary, secondary and vocational training students have taken part, and over 33,200 people have done so through various social groups and on the open days.
