Gas Natural SDG : Once again Sabadell’s Plaça del Gas will be the site of the Royal Encampment, organised by Sabadell Comerç Centre and the Gas Museum

• The Royal Encampment will be in the Pati de la Casa Grau, Sabadell Town Hall, in Plaça del Gas.

• Some 8,000 people are expected to visit the Royal Ambassador of Their Majesties the Kings of the Orient.

• The delivery of letters will be supplemented by 'The Wish Factory', a new activity that the Gas Museum of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation will be offering families from 27 December to 4 January.

The Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation and Sabadell Comerç Foundation are joining in the Christmas festivities by organising Sabadell's Royal Encampment for the sixth year in a row. From 26 December to 4 January, the Royal Ambassador of Their Majesties the Kings of the Orient will be receiving children's letters in the Pati de la Casa Grau, in Plaça del Gas, and made available by Sabadell City Council especially for the occasion.

The Mayor of Sabadell, Juli Fernandez, the Director of the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation Gas Museum, Eva Buch, and the President of Sabadell Comerç Centre, Josep Mª Porta,presented this initiative and said they expected around 8,000 people to visit the Royal Ambassador of Their Majesties the Kings of the Orient, equalling last year's success.

Also attending the presentation were the City Councillor for Culture, Montse Chacón, and the Councillor for Commerce, Marisol Martinez. They wanted to show their support for an event that is now considered a must for Christmas in Sabadell.

Sabadell Comerç Centre wants this activity, now firmly rooted in Sabadell, to boost the city's business and retail community and attract families from outside Sabadell to the city at the height of the Christmas campaign. And thanks to this initiative, the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation's Gas Museum is once again taking part in the main events and celebrations in the city, in an effort to develop closer links with the general public.

The Royal Ambassador will arrive in Plaça del Gas on Boxing Day, at 1 pm, and deliver his traditional speech. Later the same day, the Royal Encampment will open its doors with the following schedule:

- 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 December, 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm
- 31 December and 1 January, 12 noon to 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm
- 2, 3 and 4 January, 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm

This year, children leaving the Encampment will be able to take part in a children's handicrafts' workshop run by Petit Sabadell. In another important new feature, the Royal Ambassador will give all the children a Christmas story published by Sabadell City Council.

Other events linked to the Royal Encampment:

29 December, at 12 noon: The Ambassador will visit children at Hospital Parc Taulí.

30 December, at 11 am: Breakfast with the Royal Ambassador inside the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation's Gas Museum.

The Wish Factory at the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation's Gas Museum.

The Gas Museum, run by the Gas Natural Fenosa Foundation, will be turned into The Wish Factory between 27 December and 4 January. This is a new activity for children and a family public, designed to foster the values of solidarity and sustainability.

The Wish Factory at the Gas Museum will offer young children the chance to become the stars in an adventure full of magic and mystery, as a family. Over nine days, the Gas Museum will be turned into a giant factory, run by the pages of Their Majesties the Three Kings of the Orient. During the visits, in groups of 25, the family public will enter a fascinating universe where young children will help the pages in their tasks to ensure everyone has a good Christmas. The activity will be led by a dozen characters who will accompany the visitors around a dramatised route, where participants will be able to say their wishes.

The Wish Factory will also have a space for leaving books and toys that are either brand new or no longer used and ready for reuse. When the activity is over, the messages and presents collected will be given to the Sabadell Red Cross.

Sabadell Comerç Centre initiatives for the Christmas season

A well-attended shopping night on 3 December marked the start of the Sabadell Comerç Centre Christmas campaign.

Once again the retail association has published some pocket calendars with old photographs of Sabadell, and they are now available at association shops. This year's theme is the Railways in Sabadell.

Sabadell Comerç Centre expressed its satisfaction at the movement generated at the shopping centre by activities such as the Royal Encampment and others the City Council has planned for Christmas. (Santa Llúcia Fair, the Craft Fair, children's entertainment, etc.)
