New database provider offers extensive property and location attributes, adding to GBG's extensive data portfolio.

GBG, the global specialist in identity data intelligence today announced a new data alliance with location data experts 77m Limited. The tie up will enable GBG customers to benefit from enhanced United Kingdom address-level and building data powered by 77m's unique spatial database, Matrix. This adds to GBG's wide portfolio of datasets, and coupled with GBG's recent launch of advanced address validation, customers will have access to the broadest and most complete UK location intelligence data on the market.

Through a new blend of open and proprietary data, Matrix links together in a seamless manner more than 500 property attributes, giving a richer understanding of properties and locations. The attributes are all accessed via a simple address search and include land use and property use, building and tree heights, retail site plans and occupation, commercial premises, active and historic mining records, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, property age and type, and flood and subsidence risk.

77m covers virtually all residential and non-residential addresses in Great Britain & Northern Ireland plus the Isle of Man and its comprehensiveness sets a new standard for the private sector both in regards to technology and pricing. Matrix incorporates open source data as well as other sources such as data from the Valuation Office Agency, PAF (Royal Mail's Postal Address File) and provided alongside Matrix, Land Registry's INSPIRE polygon dataset. Matrix also ensures that every address record includes an accurate geo co-ordinate.

Multiple datasets from the Matrix database are now integrated into GBG's Matchcode360 customer on-boarding product and will be available through license to all organisations requiring enhanced location intelligence to better serve their UK customers.

Philip Highland, Director at 77m said: 'Matrix has been developed over a number of years and is a unique resource. 77m's new alliance with GBG enables organisations across a multitude of sectors to have instant access to extensive location data all in one search. GBG users will gain a competitive advantage in their specific market places with the blend of original, cleaned and matched and, or where appropriate, best-of-breed modelled risk data held in Matrix.'

David Green, Managing Director of Location Intelligence Services at GBG said: 'GBG has a long heritage of working with the best data providers to offer market leading location intelligence to our clients. I'm delighted we are working with 77m, a fast growing and innovative company in the UK address and location data space.
