FOOTHILL RANCH, California, USA (05 July 2017) - Laurie Baydar, an insurance services expert, has been appointed as Vice President, Sales Administration, for Global Benefits Group (GBG), effective immediately.

Ms. Baydar will head a world-class team of GBG representatives who serve the insurance needs of our North American-based distribution network. She will work closely with brokers and distributors to develop customized products to expand the GBG brand throughout the continent. Ms. Baydar will also support the sales and business development initiatives of the GBG sales teams around the world.

Her appointment comes as GBG, one of the leading providers of international employee benefits for expatriates, third-country nationals and local nationals, continues a massive growth cycle around the world.

Laurie Baydar: New Vice President, Sales Administration

Ms. Baydar joins GBG from Compass Benefits Group, a brokerage firm based in Hanover, Massachusetts, where she served as Director of Sales and Marketing - tasked with overseeing all new business development across the globe. Prior to Compass Benefits Group, Ms. Baydar worked for the

Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), the oldest and largest non-profit study abroad and intercultural exchange provider in the United States. In her role at CIEE, Ms. Baydar was tasked with managing the business's portfolio of U.S outbound travel insurance products.

She also has prior experience in the financial services industry, where she managed a portfolio of international financial products specifically for the market to and from China.

This has given me a keen understanding of how GBG uniquely serves and supports its clients and brokers. My background is a bit interesting - I have experience working in the insurance field for more than a decade but I also have a background in education and academia.

Ms. Baydar earned her Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Hamilton College in New York and her Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from the University of Illinois. She is fluent in Mandarin.

She will work out of GBG's Administrative Office in Foothill Ranch, California.
