Increased digitalization in the work world has made efficient management of business processes more and more important. That's why everything at the GROUP Business Software Europa GmbH (GBS) CeBIT stand this year revolves around the intuitive generation of business applications. The collaboration experts will present a platform independent, cloud and mobile ready solution in Hall 2 at Stand A30, enabling the creation of flexible workflows on premises or using Microsoft Azure, highlighting the seamless interaction with Microsoft SharePoint in particular.

Presently available for IBM Domino/Connections and platform independent with Microsoft Azure, workflow and application generation, GBS is pressing ahead with the integration of AppDesigner in Microsoft SharePoint and has now announced the integration of workflows according to the BPMN 2.0 standard. Workflows can be mapped on premises or in SharePoint Online. GBS will demonstrate one potential use at their CeBIT stand, showing how service employees can manage customer complaints flexibly by using their mobile devices to register complaints or problems on site, thereby activating internal business processes.

At the same time, the company has announced the development of new product security features, for example the allocation of access rights at the application and document level. Workflow features will benefit from additional BPMN conform elements already in the pipeline. Andreas Richter, EVP Marketing & Product Management at GBS says: 'Parallel to the integration of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, we view the interlinking of workflow technologies and collaborative systems such as MS SharePoint and IBM Connections as an important part of our product strategy. Our goal is to provide businesses with intuitive and efficient tools to meet the demands of the modern workplace.'

GBS AppDesigner has positioned itself as the definitive backbone of a future oriented IT strategy. The interplay of web, cloud, mobile and collaboration technologies brings numerous advantages in the digitalization of business processes. The innovative solution has already been placed in the Leader Quadrant of Social Business Vendor Benchmarks by the Experton Group twice. 'Employees are confronted daily with a multitude of business processes. Making these processes accessible, platform independent and mobile is a real challenge, which we address with the GBS AppDesigner', according to Constanze Zarth, Managing Director at GBS.

This year GBS's partner, GIS, Gesellschaft für InformationsSysteme AG, will also be represented at the exhibition stand. GIS is specialised in the digital workplace and the digital transformation and will present customized digital workplace solutions as well as the GBS TeamRoom Manager, making it easier to create manage and synchronise SharePoint Teamsites. Additionally, GBS will advise trade fair visitors on modern workflow management, intuitive app generation and the deactivation of unused IBM Domino applications with the GBS Retirement Manager.
