The order consists of several high-end milling machines including automation and software for a total value of about USD 15 million as well as related training, support and services. The machines, which will be used for the production of rotating turbine components, will all be made by Liechti Engineering AG in Langnau (Switzerland). Delivery will take place between the third quarter of 2016 and the first quarter of 2017.

Liechti Engineering, which was acquired by GF in July 2014, is the worldwide leading solution provider and specialist for 5-axis milling machines designed to produce blades and blisks for aircraft engines and power generating turbines. GF Machining Solutions provides machine tools, automation solutions and customer services for the production of molds, dies and high value-added metal parts.
