The Supervisory Board of GfK SE has appointed Christian Bigatà Joseph (42) as the new Chief Financial Officer and Management Board member of GfK SE, effective August 1, 2017. Christian Bigatà Joseph is currently CFO at 1&1 Mail & Media SE (incl. the internet portals WEB.DE and GMX) after various years as CFO at 1&1 Internet SE, the hosting and cloud applications business.

'We are very pleased that Christian will be joining GfK,' said Peter Feld, CEO of GfK SE. 'He is a renowned finance expert and manager, who brings valuable skills to our company: profound digital expertise, a clear customer focus and broad experience in successfully managing strategic transformations.'

Prior to joining 1&1, Christian Bigatà Joseph has built up extensive digital expertise through his positions at Software AG and has also worked at customer-centric consumer goods companies such as Nestlé and Amazon. Christian Bigatà Joseph holds degrees from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, and the Community of European Management Schools in cooperation with the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Christian Bigatà Joseph succeeds Christian Diedrich, who will hand over his responsibilities and leave GfK at the regular end of his contract. 'We thank Christian Diedrich for his dedication and contribution to GfK over the last years, and wish him every success with his future endeavours,' said Ralf Klein-Bölting.
