Reutersbrunnenstraße Children's Home receives EUR 12,500Nuremberg, March 2, 2012 - GfK has now been supporting the Reutersbrunnenstraße home for children and young people in Nuremberg for 13 years. Today, CFO of GfK Pamela Knapp handed over a donation of EUR 12,500.

GfK has been committed to the Reutersbrunnenstraße home for children and young people since 1999, providing the majority of the financing for the new building in Willstraße, for example. It has long been a GfK Christmas tradition to send clients and suppliers tins of Lebkuchen, German gingerbread, and cards, which both bear images designed by the young residents of the home. GfK companies around the world buy and give these gifts. A share of the takings from the almost 10,000 Lebkuchen tins and around 15,000 Christmas cards is donated to the young artists.

Pamela Knapp, CFO of GfK, presented the check to Elisabeth Thiering, the institution's educational director, in the presence of Dr. Ulrike Schöneberg, Chairman of the Friends of the Reutersbrunnenstraße Home Association and a few young residents. "This donation will be used to buy toys and educational tools, as well as for providing individual support to the children. It is incredibly helpful for us that we have been able to rely on GfK's support for so many years," says Elisabeth Thiering.
