(ASX:GID), a medical device company that is developing EndoBarrier®, held a Special Meeting on Wednesday, 21 February 2018 at 3:00pm United States Eastern Standard Time (EST) │Thursday, 22 February 2018 at 7:00am Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). The Special Meeting was adjourned until Tuesday, 27 February 2018 at 3:00pm EST │ Wednesday, 28 February 2018 at 7:00am AEDT.

New date and time for Special Meeting: Tuesday, 27 February 2018 at 3:00pm EST │ Wednesday, 28 February 2018 at 7:00am AEDT

The business of the Special Meeting will remain as set out in the proxy statement previously announced on 7 February 2018 and sent to stockholders on or about this date. The details to attend the Special Meeting by telephone also remains as announced on 7 February 2018.

The Company designs, develops, manufactures and markets medical devices for non-surgical approaches to treat type II diabetes and obesity. The Company's product, EndoBarrier, is an endoscopically-delivered device therapy, which is approved for the treatment of obese type II diabetes with body mass index (BMI) greater than or equal to 30 kilogram/square meter (kg/m2), or obese patients with BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2 with greater than or equal to one comorbidities, or obese patients with BMI over 35 kg/m2. EndoBarrier is an incision-free, non-anatomy altering solution designed to specifically mimic the duodenal-jejunal exclusion created by gastric bypass surgery.
