Paweł Ostrowski Appointed CEO of Polish Power Exchange
The Extraordinary General Meeting of the Polish Power Exchange held on 28 November 2016 has appointed Paweł Ostrowski the President of the Management Board of the Polish Power Exchange.
Pursuant to Article 27(1) of the Act of 29 July 2005 on trading in financial instruments, the change on the Management Board of the Polish Power Exchange appointing Paweł Ostrowski the President of the Company's Management Board takes effect subject to the approval of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.
Paweł Ostrowski has more than 15 years of experience in the capital market. He has worked with financial institutions including PKO Bank Polski S.A., Societe Generale, Deutsche Bank Polska S.A., BNP Paribas Polska S.A. From 2007, he was Head of Sales in the Treasury Department of PKO BP Bank Polski S.A. He specialises in sales of Treasury products and commodity risk and interest rate risk hedging instruments. He has participated in projects implementing MiFID II and in the merger with Nordea Bank Polska S.A.
Paweł Ostrowski holds an MA from the Warsaw School of Economics, where he also earned his PhD for a thesis on 'The applications of derivatives in corporate FX risk management.'
