GL EVENTS Welcome to New-York City.
Some 1,500 brands and 650 exhibitors will be presenting and selling their wares at the 82nd Metz International Fair from 29 September to 9 October. Organised by Metz Événements, this GL events Fair is a genuine platform for meetings and business.
A total of 23 sectors are represented, including gourmet food, consumer retail goods and services. This year, the Fair includes 3 new areas: leisure and tourism, health and well-being, and cars.
Over the course of 11 days, approximately 200,000 visitors come to enjoy the festivities, discover new products and services and take advantage of some great bargains. The 50,000m2 of exhibition space and the wide variety of exhibitors ensure there is something for everyone.
This year, a major exhibition (covering 1,200m2) will take visitors on a journey to New York. A total of 11 different areas have been recreated to make visitors feel they really are in America. The visit opens with the Statue of Liberty, then Ellis Island, Little Italy and Manhattan.
The public then discover the steam-ships and airships that took Europeans to America in the 19th Century before continuing their journey into the prohibition period and then the setting of New York as depicted in super-hero comic strips; the journey then moves on to Broadway and post-war cinema, followed by the fifties and sixties culture. The trip ends in the New York of arts and fashion, the modern city that everyone dreams about. You will feel you have travelled across the world, without actually leaving Metz Expo!
