The 4th edition will place the spotlight on French-speaking Switzerland.

From 21 to 23 January, Palexpo will be hosting the fourth Sirha Geneva, the leading event for chefs, restaurant owners and food-service professionals in Switzerland.

Organised by GL events Exhibitions, Sirha Geneva is a unique opportunity for all Swiss food-service professionals, who can expand their professional network and find new ideas and solutions for their businesses.

Over the course of 3 days, visitors will have the chance to discover new trends and innovations presented by the exhibitors at the show. Distributors, manufacturers and suppliers covering the entire sector will be presenting a wide and comprehensive range of products and services, with this year's emphasis on regional producers.

This year's Sirha Geneva has organised a programme of events highlighting regional production and promoting local talent:

- The Romandy and Ticino finals for the best young bakers and pastry chefs will bring together ten participants on the main stage of Sirha Geneva.

- During the Bocuse d' Or Switzerland - presided over by Franck Giovannini, the Chef of the prestigious Hôtel de Ville restaurant (3 stars) in Crissier, Switzerland- the country's four most promising chefs will have to produce two creative, modern dishes for twelve people in the space of 5 hours and 40 minutes. The winner of this national selection competition will go through to the Bocuse d' Or Europe 2018, which will take place on 11 and 12 June in Turin. Such an exceptional competition demands a prestigious jury, which will include Dominique Gauthier (Le Chat-Botté*, Geneva), Philippe Chevrier (Domaine de Châteauvieux**, Satigny / Geneva), Armin Fuchs (President of Bocuse d' Or 2017 Swiss Team), Michel Roth (Bayview*, Hôtel Président Wilson, Geneva).

- Technical skill and taste will be the watchwords for the Young Cook Geneva Contest. During this contest, young chefs from Geneva will have to prepare 6 appetizers based on fish and shellfish as well as a meat dish with a sauce, two vegetable side-dishes and a carbohydrate-rich dish.

Local chefs will be giving demonstrations in the So Terroir ! area during the entire show. The menu will showcase products from the Swiss Alps. The aim is above all to provide restaurant owners with new ideas for their menus using local produce.

The programme also includes conferences, networking and traditional 'after-work' events for the chefs and exhibitors. The Sirha Geneva is above all a vibrant, forward-looking event.
