Culinary treats and international cooking competitions on the programme.

Gourmet Expoforum is a trade fair for professionals in the Hotel, Restaurant & Catering (HoReCa) sector and Food & Drinks industries. This year's fair will take place from 10 to 12 June at the Lingotto Fiere exhibition centre in Turin. Organised by GL events in collaboration with Sirha Lyon, the event will also host the European qualifying rounds of the Bocuse d'Or and the World Pastry-making Cup.

The fair is attended by all types of professionals: distributors, restaurant owners, managers, architects, consultants, etc. It will be divided into four main areas to enable visitors to easily find what they are looking for: equipment, supplies, furniture and accessories. Based on the success of the first two fairs, Gourmet Expoforum will once again have rich programme of conferences, training courses, tasting sessions, book signing sessions and culinary competitions. Everything is designed to enable visitors to discover future trends and new technologies in the food-services sector.

The conferences will address a variety of topics covering a wide spectrum of interests, including: the 'real Neapolitan pizza', 'combining coffee and spirits', 'training young apprentices', 'architecture in kitchens', and more.

After its inaugural event in Paris in 2012, followed by Geneva in 2014 and 2016, the 2018 World Pastry-making Cup will be hosted in Italy, since the country is widely acknowledged around the world for its expertise in ice-cream and pastry making. Seven countries will be competing in the event: Belgium, Turkey, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Switzerland and Bulgaria. The teams must make 2 cakes, 10 desserts, 1 chocolate sculpture and 1 sugar sculpture.

Gourmet Expoforum responds to the expectations of trade professionals and represents an important event in the food-services industry, resolutely oriented towards the future of this rapidly changing sector.
