Discovering and implementing best practices in the field of eco-responsible food services.

Sirha Green, the first trade fair devoted to responsible Food Services, will be held at Eurexpo Lyon from 17 to 19 June. Organised and hosted by GL events, the event will bring together professionals from the Food Service and out-of-home consumption sector and focus on social and environmental responsibility in the catering and hotel industry.

In today's rapidly changing market, anti-waste laws are being putting in place and consumer attitudes are changing. New growth sectors have emerged, such as veganism, organic food, 'xxxx-free' products, short supply channels, etc. These new trends are profoundly changing the market and professionals must adapt quickly. Sirha Green aims help professionals in the sector to understand and adopt these new practices.

The fair will cover a total of 10,000m² of exhibition space and will be attended by 200 exhibitors in 5 major areas: food and beverage sourcing - equipment and materials - transport and logistics - restaurant and shop layout, tableware - services and new technologies.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the latest innovations in the sector, attend demonstrations by chefs and take part in debates with professionals on subjects such as sustainable production and waste management. They can also support participants in the various competitions.

The Green Kitchen area will showcase the latest trends in equipment and highlight the energy savings that can be made. The Green Table area is like a genuine eco-responsible restaurant, where professionals can find out how to make their restaurant 100% ecological, from the plates to the tables. Various events and activities will also be proposed over the 3 days in this area aimed at promoting meetings and discussions.

Co-produced with the Leaders Club France, the GreenPalms (Green Awards) will reward the best concepts in terms of eco-responsible catering.

This inaugural fair will help Food Service professionals address a genuine social phenomenon and adapt to the social and environmental challenges in the sector.
