Global Ecopower : Grid connection of the 1st wind farm built by Global EcoPower

Aix-en-Provence (France), December 16th, 2013.

Global EcoPower (FR0011289198 - ALGEP), a turnkey constructor of power plants using renewable energy sources, is happy to announce the connection to the ERDF grid of the wind farm "La Guenelle" in the Marne department, with an installed capacity of 22 MW.

First wind farm built by Global EcoPower on behalf of third parties, the power plant of "La Guenelle" is located in the municipalities of Mairy-sur-Marne and Togny-aux-Bœufs in the Marne department (51). It consists of 11 Vestas V90 turbines of 2MW each. The mounting phase of all turbines was completed in time and the wind farm was connected to the grid on December 16th, 2013.

The plant of "La Guenelle" will produce 54 GWh / year, corresponding to the electricity consumption of 21,000 households (excluding heating) and allowing to avoid the emission of 14,000 tons of CO₂ per year.

The plant will be delivered to the project's owner, the company WP France 1, owned by the German group Leonidas Associates, at the end of the industrial commissioning which lasts for about 2 months.
