GLOBALSTAR TO SHOWCASE NEWEST AVIATION COMMUNICATION SOLUTIONS AT EAA 2015

COVINGTON, LA , July 16 2015- Globalstar Inc. (NYSE MKT: GSAT) and its subsidiary SPOT LLC will be showcasing their affordable aviation communication solutions at EAA AirVenture July 20-26, including the new aviation antenna (STC for Part 23 aircraft pending). Paired with the Globalstar Satellite Phone (GSP-1700) or the Globalstar Sat-Fi® satellite hotspot, the aviation antenna allows for voice and data communication while in-flight and completely independent of cellular coverage. Pilots can make and receive calls and texts, check weather and send emails from the cockpit using Globalstar's satellite communications network, which boasts data speeds 4x faster than the competition. Currently, the GSP-1700 is FREE with select airtime plans.

General aviation pilots can now fly safer with SPOT's recent integration with Lockheed Martin Flight Service (LMFS), providing automated position monitoring for pilots who file LMFS VFR (Visual Flight Rules) flight plans. Using SPOT Gen3® or SPOT Trace®, GPS tracking reports are generated and forwarded to LMFS. If the aircraft stops moving or sending points, an alarm is triggered immediately. Pilots can track their route down to every 2.5 minutes and give individuals on the ground the ability to monitor departures and arrivals.

Additionally, the SPOT Gen3 provides peace of mind through location-based messaging and life-saving emergency notification technology. SPOT has been used to initiate over 3,500 rescues worldwide since its launch in 2007, and attendees of EAA AirVenture will be able to get them FREE.

Globalstar will also have representatives on hand to discuss its new space-based ADSB solution, ALAS. Prototypes of this simple, low cost peripheral designed to be compatible with virtually any ADS-B avionics installation have been flying successfully since 2010 and late last year, the team completed a successful 7,000 mile test flight.
