Polar Transportation division ended summer river shipping season and began winter marine shipping season on October 23 due to uninterrupted ice formation on rivers Dudinka and Yenisei.

1 243 ships were handled during the river shipping season which began in June 2014. Freight turnover during the period totaled 1 540,927 thousand tons (debarkation - 1 331,346 thousand tons, embarkation - 209,581 thousand tons). Corresponding 2013 freight turnover exceeded 2 million tons due to greater amount of bulk cargo (sand and coal), sodium carbonate and lumber transported. Over 85% of the cargo was attributable to organizations of the Company's Polar Division.

Closure of summer shipping season has gone as planned with all ships relocated to winter anchorage, except for two marine tugboats, which will provide berthing services until the arrival of Dudinka river icebreaker.

Average annual freight turnover of Dudinka seaport is approximately 3 million tons.
