Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. : Goldman Settles Class Action Over $698 Million Offering

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) has reached a settlement with investors over a $698 million mortgage-backed securities offering, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing a letter by David Wales, acting for the Public Employees' Retirement System of Mississippi, to a U.S. District judge.
Mr. Wales, in a letter to Judge Harold Baer, said papers would be filed by the end of the month to ask the judge to approve the settlement, details of which weren't disclosed, Bloomberg reported.
A spokesman for Goldman Sachs declined to comment.
