After stacking over 62 pounds at the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year Championship on Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota, last week, GoPro's Brandon Palaniuk secured the 2017 Angler of the Year title. At 29 years old, he's already a three-time BASS Elite champion and has a BASS Nation title to his name, as well. Now he can add the Bassmaster Angler of the Year trophy to the top of his mantle.

'I didn't know if it would ever happen,' said Palaniuk, in the official Bassmaster press release. 'This has been a dream of mine since I was 8 years old....I just made up my mind that I wanted to fish for a living-and every decision I've made for 21 years has led to this point.'

Palaniuk's 2017 campaign included six top-12 finishes and a win at Sam Rayburn Reservoir, so you could say consistency paid off for him this year-quite literally. This AOY title pays out a cool $100K, which puts Palaniuk over the $1M total earnings mark in B.A.S.S.

Congralutions, Brandon! Now, go fishing...you've earned it.
