-Enhanced driver comfort: high-tech driver seats in a new design
-Grammer focusing on ergonomic sitting: app for reducing exposure to vibration
-Innovative components for the driver's cabin of the future

Amberg, November 17, 2017 - Vehicle interior specialist Grammer will be displaying numerous new products and innovative ideas for use in agricultural machinery at Agritechnica, the world's leading agricultural technology exhibition. Looking forward, there is a clear trend in agricultural machinery: 'smart farming'. In the future, applications for maximum and efficient system integration will be playing an important role, calling for greater digitization of machinery and cabins. At the same time, the highest possible requirements in safety, ergonomics, efficiency, comfort and design need to be met. As a leading and innovative system supplier of driver seats, multifunctional armrests and displays, Grammer is responding to this trend and taking it in new directions. At this year's Agritechnica, Grammer will be unveiling a new design and additional comfort functions such as improved climate control for its proven agricultural machinery seats. A further innovative digital approach for supporting spine health takes the form of an app developed by Grammer to measure the driver's individual exposure to vibration. A sensor system integrated in the seat upholstery measures vibration exposure and transfers the results continuously to a smartphone. The driver receives a warning via his smartphone if defined levels are exceeded.

A technological highlight at this year's Agritechnica is the driver's cabin of the future. Known as the 'Smart Cab', it has been developed in a joint project pursued by the CAB Concept Cluster. As one of the lead cluster partners, Grammer has contributed various interior components such as the suspended driver seat with electrically adjustable functions, multifunctional armrests and innovative touch displays for the Smart Cab.
