Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE:GVA) announced today that it has been awarded a $20 million contract by the Alaska Department of Transportation for the rehabilitation of the taxiways at the Anchorage International Airport. Granite will book the project into backlog during the second quarter of 2016.

Scope of the work includes the rehabilitation of taxiways R and T, as well as the construction and installation of taxiway shoulders, safety areas, elevated lighting systems and signage. Construction is scheduled to begin in early June 2016 and be completed in one year.
