Showcase Event to Highlight Proprietary Next-Generation Storage System

GRAPEVINE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 17, 2013-- GreenHunter Resources, Inc. (NYSE MKT: GRH) (NYSE MKT: GRH.PRC) (the "Company"), a diversified water resource, waste management and environmental services company specializing in the unconventional oil and natural gas shale resource plays, announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, GreenHunter Water, LLC, is hosting today beginning at 11:00 AM ET, a storage tank expo in Macksburg, Ohio to showcase the Company's proprietary next-generation fluids storage system.

By observing the patent-pending MAG Tank™ in action where it is presently in use at a multi-well Utica drill pad operation, exploration and production companies, oilfield services providers, and elected representatives from the community will be able to witness the unique design of the MAG Tank which addresses the logistical, economic, and environmental challenges that are present in each of today's Unconventional Shale Plays. The modular trapezoidal design of GreenHunter's MAG Panel™ allows the system to be deployed in virtually any topography or terrain starting at 11,000 barrel capacities with an unlimited ability to scale up in size.

Management Comments

Commenting on this event, Mr. Jonathan D. Hoopes, Interim CEO, President and COO of GreenHunter Resources, stated, "We are looking forward to today's MAG Tank showcase and we have no doubt that it will generate significant interest from our customers. We chose to hold the expo in Appalachia out in the field in order to demonstrate to regional E&P operators the distinct flexibility of our construction design. By reusing the steel MAG Panels in multiple configurations, an operator will see significant reduction in highway traffic, environmental impact, and cost of water storage. Water supply is becoming an increasingly difficult issue not only in the Appalachian region, but also throughout many of the shale resource plays in the United States."
