Moscow, Russia - September 30, 2016 - Cherkizovo Group's Petelinka nuggets and Latifa halal chicken took first places at the Product of the Year 2016 tasting contest held during WorldFood Moscow 2016.

WorldFood Moscow 2016 is an international food products exhibition attended by the industry's leading producers and vendors. Over 1,500 companies worldwide attended the event this year, showcasing a wide variety of goods across all product categories.

Product of the Year 2016 is a traditional tasting contest held during the exhibition. The goal of the contest is to identify and promote high-quality products in the Russian market. The independent committee is comprised of the leading industry experts. Following Cherkizovo's wins, the Company now has the right to display the WorldFood Moscow 2016 Product of the Year logo on its Petelinka nuggets and Latifa broilers.

Petelinka breaded nuggets are Cherkizovo's new pre-made product manufactured from chilled chicken fillet. They are extremely convenient for the consumer, taking only a few minutes to fry or heat up in the microwave.

Latifa is Cherkizovo's halal brand for the domestic market. Latifa broilers are already popular among Russia's Muslim population and are prepared in adherence to the halal rules of slaughter on a separate production line to the rest of the Company's poultry products.
