SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 10, 2015) - GSI Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSIT) today announced general sampling of their 288Mbit SigmaQuad™ and SigmaDDR™ SRAMs. These devices offer a powerful combination of high capacity and low latency for solving packet routing and lookup table tasks. They provide sustained performance of up to 1 Billion transactions per second at a 500 MHz clock rate in an industry-standard 165-pin BGA package.

The GS82582 family is pin-compatible with GSI's 144, 72, 36, and 18Mbit equivalent devices. They can be dropped into FPGA external memory configuration tools with little effort. GSI also provides memory controller IP for use cases beyond the capability of industry-standard controllers.

"We are genuinely excited about these devices," said Lee-Lean Shu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GSI Technology. "Our customers are constantly being asked to provide more Deep Packet Inspection capabilities at the same line rate. We think this is a big step forward."
