SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 15, 2015) - GSI Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSIT) today announced general sampling availability of the industry's first monolithic 144Mbit SyncBurst™ and NBT™ SRAMs, with operating frequencies up to 400 MHz.

These new GS8128 devices represent the latest high capacity editions to GSI's SyncBurst™ & No Bus Turnaround™ families of SRAMs, which began more than 15 years ago with 1Mbit devices. They are available in footprint-compatible TQFP & BGA packages for easy density upgrades from the previous generations of devices.

"We are pleased to add this new generation of high density SRAMs to the SyncBurst and NBT families," said Lee-Lean Shu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GSI Technology. "We expect them to be useful in a wide variety of networking, telecom, and other applications where the demand for greater capacity continues unabated."

Samples of the monolithic 144Mbit devices are available now, with 288Mbit multi-chip versions (comprising two 144Mbit die in a single package) expected at the end of the year. Additional information on SyncBurst and NBT SRAMs can be found at http://gsitechnology.com/syncburst-srams and http://gsitechnology.com/nbt-srams, respectively.
