Guidance Software, (NASDAQ:GUID), the World Leader in Digital Investigations™, today announced the appointment of Linda Souza in the newly created role of Vice President, Product Marketing and Operations. Ms. Souza leads Guidance Software’s worldwide product marketing, program marketing, marketing operations, and content development teams.

Ms. Souza is responsible for product marketing across the entire EnCase® software platform including defining and executing go-to-market strategies, product positioning and messaging, sales enablement, and tracking market intelligence. Her responsibilities also include driving demand generation, measuring marketing effectiveness, evolving the brand and overseeing development of all market-facing materials including collateral, the website, and campaigns.

A well-rounded marketing executive, Ms. Souza has nearly 20 years of experience working in all aspects of technology marketing. Prior to joining Guidance Software, Ms. Souza most recently served as Vice President, Marketing for Central Desktop, Inc., a cloud-based enterprise collaboration platform vendor. Prior to Central Desktop, she was Director of Marketing for Everbridge, Inc., a software-as-a-service emergency notification system provider. She also held senior marketing roles at Ariba and UBICS.

Ms. Souza holds a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, and a Master of Arts in Global Marketing Communication and Advertising from Emerson College, Brussels, Belgium. She also earned a diploma in Marketing Communications from the International Advertising Association, Brussels, Belgium, and a Certificat Pratique de Français Commercial et Economique from l’Université Stendhal, in Grenoble, France.
