Guidance Software, Inc., makers of EnCase®, the gold standard for digital investigations and endpoint data security, today announced the appointment of Scott Skidmore as vice president, global channel sales, and Jeff Hines as group vice president of sales for the Americas theatre.

Mr. Skidmore will manage the global channel sales organization and program. He will be responsible for the company’s primary routes to market in geographies where Guidance does not have a field sales organization. As theatre leader, Mr. Hines will grow, mentor and manage a direct Americas sales team. In these roles, the executives will focus on expanding the company's sales and channel operations, and corresponding investments and programs, to meet the growing demand for and accelerate the delivery of the company’s products and services.

“We are delighted to have Scott and Jeff join the Guidance Software team to help us build upon our successes and further expand our footprint in the Americas and across the globe,” said Patrick Dennis, president and CEO, Guidance Software. “As results-oriented sales and channel leaders, both executives have excelled at maximizing revenue and profitability through building productive teams and by establishing new markets. We are focused on strengthening our capabilities and services, and continuing our commitment to our channel, to give our sales teams and partners the resources they need to maximize growth.”

A technology executive with more than 20 years of sales management experience, Mr. Skidmore was most recently the vice president of worldwide sales at Permabit after serving as vice president of channel sales for the Americas at CommVault.

Prior to joining CommVault, Mr. Skidmore was vice president of worldwide sales at Zetta, a cloud storage-as-a-service company, and held executive management positions at EMC and EqualLogic, where he helped facilitate the integration of the company into Dell's business after it was acquired for $1.4 billion. Mr. Skidmore earned his BS degree in business and economics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Also a 20-year veteran of the technology industry, Mr. Hines held high profile sales and channel positions at Hitachi Data Systems, EMC and Oracle Corporation. As a forward-thinking sales leader, Hines implemented customer-focused sales strategies and built teams in the enterprise software industry that drove sustainable multimillion dollar revenue quarters.
