H&M's Total Sales Up 13%; Same-Store Sales Up 3%

STOCKHOLM--Hennes & Mauritz AB (HM-B.SK), the Sweden-based global clothing retailer, Monday said total sales, including value-added tax and calculated in local currencies, increased by 13% on the year in June.
MAIN FACTS:
-Sales in comparable units rose 3%.
-Analysts in a Dow Jones Newswires poll had expected total June sales to rise 14% and same-store sales to rise 5%.
-H&M's comparable sales, or same-store sales, include stores, internet and catalogue sales that have been in operation for at least a financial year.
-The total number of H&M stores amounted to 2,596 on June 30, compared with 2,305 stores on the same day last year.
-Shares ended Friday at SEK247.30.
