The fire service completed its work on board the 'CCNI AURACO' shortly before midnight on Sunday after the fire had been extinguished. The firemen have since left Container Terminal Burchardkai. 'We would like to thank all the firefighters for their hard, tireless and ultimately successful efforts', said Chairman of HHLA's Executive Board, Klaus-Dieter Peters. Work to clean up the area is currently under way at the quay wall. The police are still determining the cause of the blaze on board the ship. Berth 1/2 remains closed for the time being. HHLA is currently holding talks with the shipping company in an effort to have the berth open again by the middle of this week. Operations at Container Terminal Burchardkai are otherwise running as normal.
