Hammerson announces that it has secured Oak Furniture Land to open at Cyfarthfa Retail Park in Merthyr Tydfil.

The UK's largest retailer of real hardwood furniture, Oak Furniture Land will open a 900 sq m store in the park, where it will trade alongside a mix of homeware and fashion brands, including B&Q's first Eco-learning store, Debenhams and a full-line Marks & Spencer. With 78 stores throughout the UK, Oak Furniture Land's high quality hardwood furniture has become a firm favourite for home furnishing shoppers and its addition to the park will significantly strengthen Cyfarthfa's hardware offer.

Since the completion of its 14,500 sq m extension in 2015, Cyfarthfa Retail park has gone from strength to strength, welcoming a dynamic mix of brands such as River Island and Next. The inward investment in the park has supported the regeneration of the wider town, and assisted the repositioning of Cyfarthfa as a retail and leisure hub in the local area.

Andrew Berger-North, Director of Retail Parks at Hammerson, said 'We are delighted to welcome Oak Furniture Land to Cyfarthfa Retail Park, a welcome addition to an already strong retail line-up. Following the regeneration of the park, we have seen leading international retailers take space to make their debut in Merthyr Tydfil, reflective of the park's appeal.'
