Hammerson announces that H&M, the international fashion retailer, has signed up to open a store at Elliott's Field Shopping Park, its £35 million extension and redevelopment, giving the retailer its first store in Rugby.

H&M, which will take a new 19,000 sq ft unit, will join a strong line-up of new retail and dining tenants including a brand new 60,000 sq ft Debenhams store and 50,000 sq ft M&S general merchandise store, which will anchor the scheme, as well as River Island, Fat Face, TKMaxx, Outfit, Next, Clarks Nando's and Ed's Easy Diner.

Similar to recently secured Fat Face and River Island, H&M opening at Elliott's Field is another first Hammerson's out-of-town portfolio.

Elliott's Field which comprises 180,000 sq ft of retail and dining floorspace as well as 567 car parking spaces is on schedule to fully open later this year. Next and Clarks have already opened and are trading well.

Tom Cochrane, Development Manager, Hammerson said: "H&M is a great addition to the fashion retail offer at Elliott's Field and fits perfectly with our vision of creating a new retail destination for Rugby that offers local residents, as well as those in the wider area, with a fantastic mix of shops and restaurants.

By welcoming H&M to Elliott's Field it demonstrates our ability as a retail specialist to capitalise on the strong relationships that we have with retailers across our portfolio to support the increasing trend of fashion retailers seeking space on shopping parks."
