Hammerson appoint head of development leasing

Leading retail property specialist Hammerson has appointed Nidae Abbas as Head of Development Leasing. Nidae has responsibility for the company's development leasing as work intensifies on its extensive development pipeline.

Over the coming five years, Hammerson will progress over 593,300m² (6.3mft²)* of retail and leisure development across its major schemes in Leeds, Croydon and London.

With more than 25 years of retail property experience, Nidae started her career working for major retail brands in North America including McDonald's, Wal-Mart and Cineplex Odeon.

More recently, Nidae worked at Quintain for ten years working on the early phases of Wembley and Greenwich Peninsula, and more recently was senior leasing manager for the London Designer Outlet which launched last year.

Working in Hammerson's retail team, Nidae will report to Iain Mitchell, Hammerson's UK Commercial Director. Iain said: "We will be creating some of the UK's most significant retail destinations and Nidae's experience and approach will help ensure that retailers can grow their businesses and customer base as they are delivered."
