Hang Lung : Celebrates Grand Opening of Riverside 66 in Tianjin

(Hong Kong, September 26, 2014) Hang Lung Properties Limited (HKSE stock code: 101) today celebrated the grand opening of Riverside 66 in Tianjin, marking another milestone for the Company in its development on the Mainland.

Riverside 66, located strategically in the heart of Tianjin's Haihe Central Business District, joins Hang Lung's other world-class projects in northeast China, namely Palace 66 and Forum 66 in Shenyang, in fostering powerful synergies and capitalizing on the market opportunities in the region. Riverside 66 is destined to become an iconic retail landmark for Tianjin, introducing a new lifestyle concept for customers from the city and surrounding neighborhoods.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Mr. Ronnie C. Chan, Chairman, and Mr. Philip N.L. Chen, Managing Director, of Hang Lung Properties Limited, and attended by Mr. Li Xiqing, Chairman of Tianjin Urban and Rural Construction Commission; Mr. Tian Guiming, Deputy Secretary General of Tianjin Municipal Committee of the CPPCC; Mr. He Peng, Vice Governor of Heping District of Tianjin Municipal Government; as well as other senior officials from the Tianjin Municipality, Heping District committees, and from various governmental bodies.

The façade on the north side is a glass structure that curves dramatically upward to seven levels above the riverside. This superb shell is built with over 10,000 glass panels and 22 seven-story-high concrete ribs, creating a fully transparent shopping space that customers can look into from surrounding streets.

Riverside 66 has been widely acclaimed for its innovative design since its construction, including winning the 2010 AIA New York Chapter's Design Awards - Merit Award (Unbuilt Work) presented by the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter, and the 2007 MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards - Commended Certificate (Retail & Leisure) presented by MIPIM and The Architectural Review.
