TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sep 29, 2014) - HARTE GOLD CORP. ("Harte Gold") (TSX:HRT)(FRANKFURT:H4O)(OTCQX:HRTFF) is pleased to announce further results from the Phase I exploration diamond drilling program that commenced August 5, 2014 on Harte Gold's 100% owned Sugar Zone property located north-east of White River, Ontario.

Highlights:

  • Drill hole DZ-14-23 assayed 17.79 g/t over 3.1 meters, contains Visible Gold (VG)
  • Wolf Zone open at depth and to the South, structure now traced for 2 kms on surface
  • New Discovery at Middle Zone now traced for 300 meters, surface samples returned assays of 4.39, 10.0, and 13.0 grams / tonne, chemical signature is similar to Peacock boulders and Wolf Zone
  • Mapping and prospecting locates Hemlo age sedimentary - volcanic contact in western Contact Zone

Wolf Zone

A total of 17 shallow holes have been completed with the objective of defining a plunging zone (lens) of gold mineralization within the Wolf Structural Zone (WSZ). Currently estimated at 125 - 175m in length, this lens is open at depth and features a 70 degree westward dip and steep southward plunge (see Wolf Zone map below). It is anticipated a series of lenses or zones occur along the 2,100m long WSZ. Please see 2014 Wolf Zone drill holes in the table below.

Drill results comprise core intersection lengths (true width unknown), assay results un-cut.

Middle Zone

In the course of the initial reconnaissance drilling, five holes were directed at a strong near-surface Induced Polarization ("IP") anomaly which reflected two sulphide zones found in bedrock. These sulphide bands are 50m apart and are parallel to each other.

Hole #ZoneComment
DZ-14-11 Middle 29m sulphide zone, anomalous gold values up to 1.2 g/t
DZ-14-12 Middle anomalous gold values
DZ-14-13 Middle 7m sulphide zone, anomalous gold values
DZ-14-14 Middle anomalous gold values
DZ-14-15 Middle 24m sulphide zone, anomalous gold values up to 1.94 g/t

ICP assays confirm similar arsenic levels in the Middle Zone to those seen in the Peacock boulders and parts of the Wolf Zone. Often associated with gold mineralization, arsenic was a key pathfinder element in the Hemlo gold camp. Given the elevated arsenic it is interpreted that a larger gold system is located down plunge from the surface occurrences. Future drilling in Phase 2 will test targets at depth.

Geological Structural Analysis

A recently completed structural geology report and exploration to date confirms the Sugar Zone Deposit, Wolf Zone, and new Middle Zone are situated in a lower volcanic basalt sequence host. The sequence starts with mafic- ultramafic (basalt) rocks on the east side of the Wolf Zone Structure, evolves from basalt to felsic volcanics west of the Wolf Zone Structure before turning into sediments (the "Contact Zone")along the eastern shoreline of Lake Dayohessarah. Please see "Sugar Zone Project" map below.

Robert S. Middleton, P Eng., Consultant and Project Manager, commented: "Altered porphyries and ultra mafic rocks (serpentine) found in the 2 km Wolf Zone Structure confirm the presence of a deep seated series of faults and shear zones which provided the conduit for gold bearing fluids. Sediment interflow units in the upper part of this sequence and sedimentary - volcanic contact are equivalent to the contact and sequence found at Hemlo."

Historical boulders that occur on the western edge of the volcanic package that hosts the Sugar Zone Deposit, Wolf Zone and Middle Zone have been found to have come from a distance of no more than 400m. Harte Gold anticipates the source of boulders in the Contact Zone will be a similar distance.

Induced Polarization / Mag Survey & Phase 2 Drill Program

Harte Gold will conduct a 40 km Induced Polarization / Magnetometer ("IP/Mag") survey over the Contact Zone area west of the Wolf Zone Structure in October. The IP/Mag survey, together with mapping and prospecting are intended to locate Hemlo style shear zones that may occur along the sediment-volcanic contact.

A Phase 2 diamond drill program of up to 5,000m scheduled for later October, will focus on down - plunge extension drilling on the Wolf Zone, the WSZ and the Contact Zone.

Bulk Sample

The next phase of road work and site development related to the 70,000 tonne bulk sample is underway.

QA / QC Statement

Drill core was logged in Harte Gold's secure core facility in White River, Ontario. Samples were hand delivered to the AGAT preparation lab in Thunder Bay where they were crushed and pulverized and sent to the Mississauga lab for analysis. Samples within the Wolf Zone were fire assayed using a 30 gram representative sample and finished with ICP analysis. Additional ICP analysis was done for pathfinder elements. For quality control and quality assurance a standard sample was inserted every 20 samples during the program and a blank sample was also inserted every 20

samples, however, within the mineralization a blank was also inserted after every sample. Samples exceeding 1 gram / tonne Au were re-assayed, in cases where visible gold is abundant, metallic screen analysis is used. R.S. Middleton P.Eng. is supervising the current drill program and oversees all logging, splitting and assay procedures for the project. Mr. Middleton is acting as the Qualified Person for Harte Gold Corp in regards to this project and has approved the scientific and/or technical disclosure in the news release.
