Marks & Spencer has opened its fifteenth Hong Kong store at the Cityplaza complex, which is located adjacent to the major Taikoo Shing private residential development, in the island's Quarry Bay.

As lead supplier, Havelock Europa was responsible for ordering and delivering each and every item required to complete the store, from a list of approved M&S suppliers. The team arranged for the order, collation and delivery of all fixtures and fittings to nominated storage points in both China and the UK.  The final item count for the Cityplaza store exceeded 35,000 units of equipment: enough to fill sixteen, forty-foot shipping containers.  98% of the fixture and fittings were manufactured by Havelock.

The Havelock Europa International M&S Team worked closely with freight company, UTI, handling Customs clearance and final shipping to Cityplaza, and adhering to a strict, phased delivery programme.  Havelock Europa's local representative attended site during the installation period, to assist the local installation contractors understand the equipment and install to a high standard.  The project was completed on time and to budget.
