In his new position, Strauss will continue to oversee Hawaiian Airlines' growing cargo business as it continues to add more Airbus A330-200 to its aircraft fleet with greater cargo-carrying capacity. He reports to Peter Ingram, Hawaiian Airlines' executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

"Since joining our company in 2012, Tim has been a driving force behind expanding our cargo operations and revenue," said Ingram. "This promotion recognizes his dedication to growing a very important component of our business and we look forward to his continued success."

Under Strauss' leadership, Hawaiian Airlines' cargo team increased revenue by more than 34 percent in 2013.
