Hays, the world's leading recruiting experts in qualified, professional and skilled people has announced the appointment of Dean Stallard as Managing Director of Hays in Hong Kong & South China.

Dean joined Hays in Australia in 2004 as an associate consultant and was promoted to section manager before relocating to Japan where he eventually rose to become a Business Director. There he managed multiple specialisms whilst demonstrating significant expertise in launching new offices through the establishment of Hays' Osaka office.

Following his relocation to Hong Kong in 2013 he was made responsible for the day-to-day growth and management of business in the region, a role he executed to great success, with Hays Hong Kong achieving the highest productivity in Hays globally in 2017.

'I am thrilled about this appointment as there is huge potential in the Greater China region,' says Dean. 'With the Pearl River Delta identified as a centre of growth in a wide array of specialisms, and the establishment of the Greater Bay Area likely to create a greater need for sophisticated recruitment services, there is excellent potential for Hays to expand in the region.'

Each of the different markets in which Dean has operated has represented a new set of challenges, however he maintains that success comes from a consistent source: 'Regardless of where we are operating, the heart of our business is people and partnerships, and that's what I strive to achieve as we expand our operations into South China,' continues Dean.

'With six offices in Greater China, Hays will optimise its presence in the region to solidify its position as the leading recruitment firm, further maintaining Hays' reputation as a global leader in recruitment consultancy.'

Managing Director of Hays Greater China, Simon Lance expressed his delight at Dean's appointment. 'I am incredibly excited about the growth of our Hong Kong & South China region under Dean's leadership, and congratulate him on this significant promotion and opportunity. The southern region will be a key investment and growth destination for Hays in Greater China, as we continue to build on our reputation as the industry's recruitment partner of choice'
