The consortium New Amsterdam Court House (NACH) achieved the Financial Close for the DBFMO contract signed on 25 May 2016 for the construction and operation of the Amsterdam Court House. This finalizes the financing for the project, which has a net present value of € 235 million (including 30 years of management and maintenance).
Heijmans is part of the NACH consortium, which will be implementing the Amsterdam Court House Project. The Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf) selected the consortium for this Public Private Partnership (PPP), in part because of the exceptional design with a representative and striking appearance.
Heijmans has a share in the construction and operation of the Court House. Construction of the Amsterdam Court House will commence in August 2017 and the building will be commissioned in 2020.
NACH initially started out with Macquarie Capital, ABT, DVP, De Nijs and KAAN Architecten. This group applied a lean, purposeful approach with a focus on quality. After two dialogue rounds, the group presented a design that perfectly matched the Court's requirements. Heijmans and Facilicom subsequently joined the consortium and the design was tested in terms of practicability and a tailor-made service provision was developed.
