  • Heliad publishes final figures for HY1 2016
  • Loss for the period attributable to reduction in the valuation of listed equity investments
  • Investments post very positive operating performance

Frankfurt am Main, August 25, 2016 - Heliad Equity Partners GmbH & Co. KGaA (ISIN: DE000A0L1NN5) has today published its figures for the first half of the 2016 fiscal year.

The operating result (EBITDA) of EUR -3.3 million (previous year: EUR -4.3 million) shows a slight year-on-year increase, while the result for the period under review of EUR -24.5 million (previous year: EUR 13.7 million) is down on the previous year.

The decline in the result is largely attributable to the lower stock prices of FinTech Group AG and DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG compared to December 31, 2015. The carrying amounts have been reduced accordingly. However, the stock price of FinTech Group AG in particular has already shown a recovery since the end of the half-year period. Based on the positive operating performance of both the FinTech Group and also DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG, Heliad's management expects that their valuations will soon return to their former levels. Heliad has used the low valuation of DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG as an opportunity to increase its commitment within the context of the convertible bond issued.

All of the unlisted investments exhibited extremely stable, positive performance.

Heliad's semi-annual report will be published in September 2016 at www.heliad.com (Investor Relations section).
